Walmart’s Equate brand is the most popular store brand allergy medication, according to a Numerator survey. Following Equate (37%), other top store brands are CVS Health (19%), Walgreen’s (18%), Up & Up / Target (13%), Kirkland Signature / Costco (12%), Members Mark / Sam’s Club (12%), and DG Health / Dollar General (11%).

Three in four respondents believe brand names and store brands are usually of the same quality. Buyers are evenly split between brand name and store brand when buying OTC allergy medication: 38% said they mostly or always purchase brand name, 36% mostly or always purchase store brand, and 26% purchase brand name and store brand in equal amounts.

Walgreens has launched its own brand Naloxone HCI Nasal Spray to reverse an overdose of opioids. It’s priced at $34.99.

Rouses Markets uses an array of informative logos on shelf labels. Among the logos: “Dollar Stretcher,” larger packs that save money; “Authentic Italian,” products produced processed or prepared using traditional Italian ingredients; and “Local, Like Us” locally grown, caught or made on the Gulf Coast.
