Membership

Private label is where retail is growing.
PLMA is where private label does business.

For more than four decades, PLMA has been the only trade association devoted entirely to store brands. Membership connects your company to buyers, data and industry relationships that turn private brands from a business opportunity into a growth strategy.

Three reasons companies join PLMA.

PLMA membership delivers value throughout the year—from preferred member rates on trade shows, conferences and programs to resources and opportunities designed specifically for the private label industry. For many companies, savings on participation alone can offset the cost of annual dues.

Find your company in the membership.

PLMA membership is built for companies across the private label supply chain. Whichever one describes your business, there's a clear place to start.

Manufacturers

You make the products retailers put their name on

From regional co-packers to national suppliers with dedicated private label divisions. Membership gets you exhibit rights at both trade shows, the industry network to find partners and brokers, and the directories to build out your relationships. Dues are scaled to the size of your private label business, so a growing manufacturer isn't priced like a multinational.

Brokers

You represent manufacturers and build their retail relationships

PLMA membership lists your company in the Broker Directory, featured online and in the U.S. Private Label Trade Show Program Guide, where manufacturers can find brokers to represent their products and capabilities. Membership also provides access to PLMA’s trade shows and Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference at member rates and keeps you up to date on industry and public policy developments through Policy Watch and e-scanner newsletters.

Trade Suppliers

You supply the ingredients, packaging, equipment, and services behind private label

If your customers are private label manufacturers, this is where they are. Membership lists you in the Supplier Directory, gets you exhibit access and member pricing, and plugs you into the industry's calendar, from Store Brands Month to the Annual Trade Show.

Retailers

You run a private brand program and want to source smarter

Retailers don't pay dues to participate. You're invited to attend the Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference at no charge, get Circana Unify+ data access, and connect directly with the manufacturers, brokers, and suppliers who can serve your private brand program at PLMA's events. PLMA has a dedicated team for its retailer partners.

"The key to getting the most out of PLMA is engagement — attend the functions, join committees when opportunities arise. That engagement has helped Seneca grow as a company and helped me grow personally."

Joining is straightforward.

No long approval process, no guesswork on cost. Here's the path from interested to inside the industry.

Step 1 · Apply

Complete the membership application

Tell us about your company and your role in private label. Manufacturers report their private label sales volume, which determines the dues tier.

Step 2 · Confirmed

We review and welcome you in

PLMA confirms your membership and sends your welcome email with everything you need, including login credentials for the Members Only portal, typically within a week of joining.

Step 3 · Get started

Put your membership to work

Log in to Circana Unify+, register for the next PLMA Live! presents Lunch & Learn or catch up on the archive, and start planning for the Annual Trade Show. Your benefits are active immediately.

What does it cost? Membership dues are scaled to company type and size: manufacturers by private label sales volume, with separate tiers for brokers and trade suppliers. PLMA publishes its full dues structure openly; you'll see exact pricing on the application, with no "contact us to find out" wall. For most companies, the savings from attending a single PLMA trade show or program at member rates can cover the cost of annual dues.
